The Job
We install and remove Christmas lights across Eastern North Carolina, from late September through February. You’ll work in a two person team, one guy on the roof and one on the ground handling material, ground lighting, and paperwork. No experience required, but if you’ve spent time on roofs or in roofing work, that’s a plus.
The Pay
You get your hourly rate every Friday, plus a weekly incentive bonus paid out separately on Mondays or Tuesdays. The incentive is based on the jobs you and your partner complete, so the more efficient you get, the more you take home, and the sooner you get home to your family. This is our second year running the program and it’s already proven itself with our crews.
The Season
October eases you in, Monday through Friday, while you get comfortable. November picks up fast, that’s our busiest stretch, with optional Saturdays if you want extra hours. We never work Sundays. Things slow down in December for shop work and prep, then removals start right after Christmas and run through January into February. Removals move quicker than installs, usually about half the time.
Training
We train you before the season starts and pair you with an experienced crew member early on, so you’re never figuring it out alone.
